Spindle Box - Family version
The Spindle Boxes are one of the many Montessori materials which help children to associate numerals with a quantity. It also introduces the concept of zero and reinforces the sequence of the numerals.
In the Spindle Boxes, the numerals are in a fixed order and the quantities are loose. To fill the boxes, there are forty-five spindles with no markings or coloring on them. A child carefully arranges the boxes on a table, and begins counting...puts one spindle in the compartment labeled one, two spindles with the label two, etc.
- A family version of the Montessori Spindle Boxes Material featuring forty-five spindles and two wooden boxes: one with the numerals 0-4 at the back of the compartments; and another one with the numerals 5-9 at the back of the compartments. The spindles themselves are wooden rods with no markings or coloring on them.
- Made of natural wood and non-toxic child-safe inks.
